Method
- Blend the Watermelon: Add the chopped watermelon to your blender and blend until smooth. If you're using honey, lime juice, or coconut water, add them now and blend again.
- Pour into Molds: Pour the blended mixture into your popsicle molds. Leave a little space at the top as the liquid will expand when frozen.
- Insert the Sticks: Place popsicle sticks into the center of each mold. If your sticks don’t stay upright, freeze for 30 minutes first, and then insert them once the mixture has firmed up slightly.
- Freeze: Freeze the popsicles for at least 4 hours or overnight to ensure they’re fully frozen.
- Serve: To release the popsicles, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds, then gently pull the popsicles out.
Notes
For a fun twist, try adding different flavors to your watermelon popsicles. A handful of fresh mint or a splash of coconut water will give a tropical flair. You can also add chunks of watermelon to the mixture before freezing to make them more textured. If you want a more vibrant popsicle, consider layering with different colored fruit juices like orange or raspberry.
